Per pack: 1
Entering service in 1940, the Beaufighter was conceived as a heavy fighter based on the Beaufort torpedo bomber. With a robust airframe and armed with four 20mm cannons and six .303 machine guns, it soon became a multi-role workhorse. Missions included fighter, ground-attack, night-fighter, torpedo-bomber, and anti-submarine operations. Participating in both the European and Pacific campaigns, a total of 5,928 were produced, the last aircraft leaving service in 1960.
