Twin classes of destroyers totaling sixteen ships. Twelve armed with six 4.7-inch guns mounted in three turrets. The remaining four were armed with eight 4-inch guns in four mounts. Commissioned between 1941 and 1942, they saw extensive war service, with nine of the classes being lost. Post-war four were transferred to the Turkish navy, serving into the 1950’s.
