Includes Spitfires and Barracudas. A class of 10 light fleet carriers completed at the end of WWII. Initially carrying a complement of fifty aircraft with a close-in air defense armament of 2-pdr pom-poms and 40mm guns. Too late for service during the war, four of the class saw action during the Korean War. Members of the class were transferred to France, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina. The last of these being scrapped in 1999.
