The SdKfz 9, an 18-ton prime mover, converted into a self-propelled gun. Changes included an armored cab, rear platform with droppable sides, and four stabilizers. Initially 112 vehicles were ordered, with delivery by July 1943. This order was subsequentially cancelled, with only a handful of vehicles entering service.
